Four Injured in Kittitas County Two-Vehicle Crash on SR 97
Kittitas County, WA (December 23, 2024) On 58-year-old Mohua Banerjee and 52-year-old Susan Stueck were both transported after a horrific two-vehicle crash on SR 97.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the two-vehicle collision on SR 97 happened before 7:15 p.m. and injured four people.
Reports say that Stueck from Wenatchee drove northbound on SR 97, roughly 20 miles north of Cle Elum, when she crossed into the southbound lane and struck a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Binit Banerjee of Seattle.
Emergency responders treated Stueck at Kittitas Valley Healthcare for her injuries. Officials say that Banerjee and two passengers also suffered injuries, but only Mohua Banerjee required hospitalization at Confluence Health Hospital.
Authorities confirmed that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. However, Stueck faces charges for distracted driving and improper lane usage.
