SUV and Sedan Collide on 9th Street in Modesto, Injuries Reported
MODESTO, CA (February 4, 2019) – At least one person was injured following a two-car crash Monday night in Modesto.
The collision happened around 6:04 p.m. at the intersection of South 9th Street and River Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota sedan and a white Dodge Durango collided for unknown reasons. Fire crews responded to the scene and located both vehicles blocking the roadway.
At least one patient sustained possible major injuries and was taken by paramedics to a hospital.
The impact also caused major left side damage on the Dodge and fuel was spilled on the roadway.
The southbound traffic was completely closed during the rescue and clearing operations.
Due to several factors remained unclear, investigation is ongoing.
