Mission Gorge Road Pedestrian Crash Results in Fatality [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (February 12, 2023) Early Friday morning, a 2013 Toyota Prius fatally struck a pedestrian in a crash on Mission Gorge Road.

Authorities say that the fatal traffic accident happened at about 1:10 a.m. near Cottonwood Avenue.

Reports say that the roadway was an extremely dark stretch of Mission Gorge Road. Officials say that the westbound Toyota struck the pedestrian walking along the roadway.

Afterward, the pedestrian sustained major injuries after the crash. Medical personnel rushed the man to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and died.

San Diego police have not released further details about the fatal crash. Moreover, police are investigating the deadly traffic accident.
