Person Trapped Inside Vehicle in Crash on Avenue of the Giants
Redwood, CA (June 20, 2021) – On Saturday, a person was trapped in a vehicle crash on Avenue of the Giants.
The accident was reported to the authorities at about 1:44 p.m. near the intersection with Holmes Flat Road.
When the authorities arrived, they discovered two vehicles were involved in the accident.
Moreover, officers requested for an ambulance on the scene.
Later on, they reported that all people involved in the crash were out of the vehicles. They also said that there are only minor injuries.
Since you cannot read the intention of the driver in front of you, it is best not to tailgate.
Maintaining some distance between your vehicle and the one ahead will give you enough response time should the vehicle ahead make a sudden turn or stop.
Let’s Do Our Share in Preventing Road Accidents
While driving is essential for many in order to move about in their lives, it is one of the most dangerous activities performed daily. As a matter of fact, auto accidents are a major public health threat. That is because traffic accidents are a leading cause of death for individuals ages 5-64.
Thus, it is indeed crucial that everyone drives defensively in order to avoid traffic accidents as much as possible.
Here are some of the things that we can do to practice defensive driving:
– Always drive at a controllable speed.
– It is also important not to assume you know the other driver’s intention.
– Be prepared to positively react to other drivers.
– Always yield at intersections, even if you have right of way.
Most importantly, stay focused on the road. Remove all distractions such as mobile phone use, unstrapped toddlers, etc.
