Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Pickup Truck near Rotterdam Lane
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (August 17, 2018) – A man was killed Friday evening following a pedestrian accident on Warner Avenue. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department later identified the victim as Minh Quang Pham.
As per reports, the incident took place at about 8:57 PM near Rotterdam Lane. The victim entered the westbound lanes of Warner when he was struck by a black 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and rendered aid to Pham after he suffered critical injuries. He was then rushed to the University of California (UCI) Medical Center in Orange for treatment. Unfortunately, Pham succumbed to his injuries, and he was pronounced dead by medical staff.
Meanwhile, the 54-year-old man driving the Avalanche remained at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, police said.
