Vehicle Crashes into Traffic Pole and Catches Fire in Mill Valley, Injuries Reported
MILL VALLEY, CA (January 29, 2019) – A woman was hospitalized following a fiery crash late Tuesday evening in Mill Valley.
The crash happened around 10:52 p.m. on northbound Highway 101, just East of Highway 131 on-ramp, also known as Tiburon Boulevard.
According to an initial report by the CHP, a vehicle had crashed into a traffic pole and caught fire. A female occupant was found outside of the vehicle, unclear if ejected from the crash, and was bleeding from the mouth and head.
The woman was taken to Marin General Hospital in an unknown condition.
The pole was sheared from the impact and lines were exposed, causing traffic signal blackout.
At this time, CHP officials are in the process of investigating the incident and are looking for possible other motorist who potentially initiated the crash.
