ELK GROVE, CA (January 17, 2022) – Sunday night, Milan Duong survived a hit-and-run crash on Highway 99.
 
According to reports, the crash involving a Hyundai Tucson and a minivan happened at about 5:13 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on Highway 99 near Elk Grove.
 
As the Hyundai traveled at a high rate of speed, it spun out and hit the minivan. As a result, the minivan crashed and caught fire with Milan Duong still inside.
 
Luckily, someone came to help her after the incident.
 
“He told me to run because the car’s on fire. When I turn around, the car is really on fire,” Milang Duong added.
 
She managed to get out of the minivan without injuries despite smoke filling the inside of the car.
 
“I’m lucky (that) I’m really still alive. I was lucky, but I’m glad I’m OK,” Duong said.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities described the Hyundai driver as a male. Apparently, the Hyundai crashed and overturned but the driver managed to escape from the scene.
 
The authorities continue to look for the hit-and-run driver.
