Solo Vehicle Fatal Crash on Calle Sinaloa
LA QUINTA, CA (July 31, 2019) – Miki Cortez died in a solo-car crash on Calle Sinaloa, Wednesday evening.
Police identified the victim as a 57-year-old woman of La Quinta.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of Eisenhower Drive just after 10:00 PM. Based on an initial report, Cortez was driving her silver BMW when she lost control of the car and struck a neighborhood marker sign.
The Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau proclaimed the victim dead at the scene. No other injuries were recorded.
Deputies don’t believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. Their investigation continues.
