Miguel Hernandez Hurt in Deadly 2-Car Crash on Highway 132 [Stanislaus County, CA]

Stanislaus County, CA (December 28, 2024) On Thursday evening, 33-year-old Miguel Hernandez and his passenger were hurt after a horrific traffic collision on Highway 132.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the 2-car crash on Highway 132 happened around 6 p.m. near Rushing Road.

Reports say that the head-on crash resulted in one fatality and two injuries.

Authorities say that a 2005 Saturn sedan, driven by a man heading eastbound, crossed over the double yellow line while attempting to pass other vehicles. At the same time, a 2007 Nissan pickup truck, traveling westbound with a driver and passenger, collided head-on with the Saturn.

Officials say that the driver of the Saturn was pronounced dead at the scene. CHP confirmed that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The driver of the Nissan, 33-year-old Hernandez, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital. His passenger suffered major injuries.

While Hernandez was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, it remains unclear whether the driver of the Saturn was impaired.

The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased man at a later time.
