Miguel Hernandez Dead after Tractor Accident on Avenue 328 [Visalia, CA]

Miguel Hernandez Fatally Hurt in Visalia on Avenue 328 and Road 80

 
VISALIA, CA (July 8, 2019) – An 18-year-old man identified as Miguel Hernandez died after a tractor accident on Friday, July 5.
 
Deputies responded to the rural farmland at about 1 p.m. near Avenue 328 and Road 80 — approximately 10 miles north of Visalia.
 
When deputies arrived, they found Hernandez lying motionless in a field.
 
According to deputies, Hernandez was bailing hay in the field when the tractor he had been driving run him over. It’s not yet determined if the tractor was in neutral or if he’d jumped out to tend to the field.
 
It’s unknown how long Hernandez had been there in the field before somebody found him.
 
The incident occurred at least a quarter of a mile away from the nearest road, on private property.
 
Two nearby employees saw the incident and instantly called 911, according to deputies. While they waited for first responders, the employees started CPR. However, despite their best efforts, the victim died at the scene.
