Michelle Marbley of Oakland Dies in Foothill Boulevard Scooter Crash [Oakland, CA]

Oakland, CA (November 02, 2021) – On Friday, 54-year-old Michelle Marbley of Oakland died in a electric scooter crash on Foothill Boulevard.

The fatal crash took place  10:05 p.m. in the 2300 block area.

Witnesses said the involved driver was traveling on the wrong side of the road and missed a red light at 23rd Avenue.

At the same time, Marbley was northbound on 23rd Avenue on a green light.

Seconds later, the scooter and the other vehicle collided at the intersection.

Unfortunately, Marbley sustained a severe head injury and lost her life at the crash scene, despite the paramedics’ attempt to save her life. 

Moreover, the authorities are searching for the driver of the involved vehicle described as a four-door gray sedan, who fled the scene right after the incident.

The police are investigating the crash.
