34-Year-Old Michael Villanueva Dies in FM 755 Traffic Crash [Rio Grande City, TX]

Rio Grande City, TX (February 29, 2024) On Tuesday afternoon, 34-year-old Michael Villanueva was killed in a horrific traffic crash on FM 755.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS), the 2-vehicle crash happened around 2 p.m. near the intersection of Farm to Market Road 755 and Embassy Street.

Reports say that a distracted driver on a 2011 GMC Sierra rear-ended a flatbed trailer killing Villanueva, who was a passenger on the GMC.

Authorities say that the driver of the GMC was taken to the hospital.

DPS is investigating the fatal collision and has not released additional information at this time.
