Victoria McDaniel Arrested, Mickey Don Strausbaugh Dies in Cottonwood Hit and Run Accident
COTTONWOOD, CA (May 26, 2021) – Tuesday morning, bicyclist Michael Strausbaugh died in a hit-and-run crash on Gas Point Road and Happy Valley Road.
The incident occurred just after 11:00 a.m. on Gas Point Road, east of Happy Valley Road.
When the authorities arrived, they found the bicyclist dead on the side of Gas Point Road.
Thus, the California Highway Patrol asked for the public’s assistance in looking for the hit-and-run driver. According to them, the driver used a red vehicle with a front-end damage.
Also, the CHP asked anyone who drove through the area in the late morning hours to provide their dashcam footage.
Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information about the crash to contact the CHP at (530) 225-0500.
Later reports revealed that police arrested Cottonwood resident Victoria McDaniel. CHP says she faces charges of felony hit-and-run, as well as manslaughter.
