Placerville Wrong-Way Driver Kills 22-Year-Old Michael Smith
Placerville, CA (June 05, 2021) – On Thursday, Michael Smith, a 22-year-old Placerville man died, while 55-year-old Joanne Davis of El Dorado was injured in a head-on crash on Missouri Flat Road.
The fatal accident took place at about 8:15 a.m. near Life Way.
Smith was driving a 2006 BMW 325i, who crossed over the double-yellow lines and went into the path of oncoming traffic.
As a result, Smith’s BMW struck a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 driven by Davis.
Unfortunately, Smith died due to the impact of the crash.
On the other hand, Davis sustained a broken ankle and her two passengers minor injuries.
