Michael Sisson of Jefferson City Injured in Bicycle Crash on Missouri Boulevard [Jefferson City, MO]

Jefferson City, MO (August 10, 2024) – On August 7, Michael Sisson, 75, of Jefferson City, was injured in a bicycle crash on Missouri Boulevard.

Investigators said Sisson was riding his bike in the 2200 block area between the sidewalk and the roadway. The bicyclist crossed in front of the entrance to a private drive. 

At the same time, a 2010 Nissan Murano was attempting to make a left turn from the center turn lane.  

The Nissan then struck Sisson.

The bicyclist was rushed to Columbia Hospital with moderate injuries. 

Moreover, the Nissan sustained extensively damaged in the collision.

This traffic accident is under investigation.
