Woman Fatally Struck on East Sprague Avenue
Spokane Valley, WA (January 16, 2022) – On Saturday, officers arrested 40-year-old Michael Schuk in a fatal DUI crash on East Sprague Avenue.
It was about 5:50 p.m. when the accident happened west of South Chronicle Road.
A female pedestrian was crossing East Sprague Avenue when Schuk in a 2005 Chevrolet van struck her.
The emergency team provided emergency medical treatment to the victim and rushed her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, Schuk remained at the crash scene.
Officers believed he was impaired during the accident. They arrested him for suspicion of vehicular homicide and booked him into the Spokane County Jail.
