65-Year-Old Woman Killed in Modesto Pedestrian Accident on Prescott Road and Standiford Avenue

 
MODESTO, CA (January 19, 2023) – Tuesday night, authorities arrested Michael Russ after a deadly crash on Prescott Road and Standiford Avenue.
 
The incident happened at about 9:45 p.m. on Prescott Road and Standiford Avenue.
 
According to reports, 60-year-old Michael Russ struck and killed the woman with his white GMC Yukon around 9:45 p.m. Moreover, the incident happened as the woman walked eastbound across Prescott Road south of Standiford Avenue.
 
After the crash, Russ initially fled from the scene. However, officers later found him a few blocks away with the help of a witness.
 
Moreover, officers arrested Russ and booked him into jail on suspicion of murder. He’s also facing charges of manslaughter, felony driving under the influence, and felony hit-and-run.
