Beaumont Kid Michael Rigg Struck and Killed on Sylvan Way in Pinecove
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA (March 15, 2021) – Sunday noon, Michael Rigg, 7, died in a pedestrian crash on Sylvan Way near Highway 243 near Idyllwild.
According to California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck the boy at around 2:50 p.m. Moreover, it happened in the 52500 block of Sylvan Way, west of Highway 243 and north of Mountain Center.
Meanwhile, responding paramedics performed life-saving measures while waiting for a helicopter to transfer the victim.
Moreover, authorities called Riverside County Coroner’s Office to the scene moments later.
Additionally, police later revealed the boy was sledding in the area at the time of the fatal Pinecove accident.
The events leading to the crash are under investigation.
