Michael Pedigo Fatally Injured in Accident on North Ventura Avenue [Ventura, CA]

Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash at Prospect Avenue

 
VENTURA, CA (August 10, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday night in a hit-and-run crash on North Ventura Avenue. He was later identified as Michael Pedigo. His place of residence was not disclosed.
 
Ventura Police stated that the accident took place near Prospect Avenue at approximately 8:37 PM. According to a witness, Pedigo was walking between two parked cars when a white four-door vehicle struck him.
 
The vehicle immediately left the scene after the incident, leaving the severely injured man in the road. First responders aided Pedigo until he was rushed to the Ventura County Medical Center. There, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead around 4:00 AM on Saturday.
 
The police are searching for the hit-and-run driver and the vehicle involved in the fatal incident. There is no current description of the suspect at this time, as officials continue to investigate.
