Michael Pacifico Carrillo of Prunedale Dies in Castroville Boulevard Collision [Monterey County, CA]

Monterey County, CA (May 16, 2024) – 52-year-old Michael Pacifico Carrillo of Prunedale was killed in a Castroville Boulevard collision Wednesday.

CHP officers said an eastbound Honda sedan on Castroville Boulevard attempted to turn onto Elkhorn Road towards Elkhorn Elementary School. 

However, the sedan collided head-on with a moped driven by Pacifico Carrillo. There is no information if the moped was on Elkhorn Road or toward the Honda before the collision.

Sadly, Michael Pacifico Carrillo died in the accident while the Honda driver did not suffer injuries.

Moreover, the Honda driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

The authorities do not consider drugs or alcohol as factors. Troopers are still investigating.
