Michael Nunziato Dies on Statham Boulevard Auto Crash
Oxnard, CA (April 26, 2020)– On Sunday morning, a 49-year-old man from Oxnard, Michael Nunziato, died in an auto crash on Statham Boulevard.
Police responded after receiving crash reports at around 4:29 a.m., on April 26. Shortl after, dispatched officers and medical personnel arrived at the 2400 block of Statham Boulevard.
Reportedly, a 2017 Honda Civic travelled northbound on Statham Boulevard when it crashed into the bicyclist who was traveling in an unknown direction.
Due to the extent of the victim’s injury, responding medical personnel pronounced him dead on the scene.
The Aftermath
Meanwhile, the 43-year-old driver of Oxnard remained at the scene and cooperated with the officials’ investigation.
Furthermore, traffic investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash. At this time, it is unclear whether speed or alcohol/drugs were of potential factors.
