Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Tank Farm Road in San Luis Obispo

 
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (February 11, 2020) – A man died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening in San Luis Obispo.
 
The crash happened around 10:25 p.m. along Tank Farm Road near South Higuera Street.
 
Police responded to the scene and found the man in the roadway, unresponsive. They attempted life-saving measures but the victim died at the scene.
 
Officers have identified the man as Micheal Hamlin, 52, of San Luis Obispo.
 
The driver of the vehicle, a 76-year-old man, remained on scene and was cooperative with police.
 
After an evaluation, police determined drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash.
 
The crash shut down Tank Farm Road as a traffic team investigated. It has since reopened.
