Riverside Man Michael Gurrola Killed in Interstate 215 Accident

 
Riverside, CA (April 01, 2021) – On Thursday, 27-year-old Michael Gurrola of Riverside died in a tragic car and tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 215.
 
The fatal accident happened at about 1 a.m. south of Columbia Avenue.
 
Apparently, he was driving a Honda Civic in the slow lane when his vehicle rear-ended a big rig.
 
It was unclear if the truck was stopped on the freeway prior to the impact.
 
Right away, rescuers took him to Riverside Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
 
On the other hand, the trucker was not injured in the 215 Freeway accident.
 
Meanwhile, officers closed half of the southbound Interstate 215 while the wreckage was cleared and a preliminary investigation is done. They reopened all lanes before daybreak.
