According to the Redding Police Department (RPD), the traffic collision happened on Hartnell Avenue near Rockabye Lane.

Reports say that a van, driven by 33-years-old Kelly Harrison of Redding, reversing out of a private property to turn east on Hartnell Avenue, pulled directly into the path of the motorcycle that Garcia as riding.

Authorities say that the motorcycle t-boned the van, Garcia sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
