Michael Fredrickson Injured in Fatal Head-On Crash on Highway 12 [Wallace, CA]

Wallace, CA (December 11, 2021) – On Thursday, 52-year-old Michael Fredrickson of Farmington sustained injuries in a fatal head-on crash on Highway 12.

The fatal crash happened just before 11 a.m. east of Wards Avenue, south of Camache Reservoir.

Officers said the unidentified woman was eastbound in a 2005 Dodge Neon. Suddenly, she crossed the double-yellow lines directly into the path of a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Fredrickson.

As a result, the two vehicles crashed head-on. 

The vehicles were both pushed off the roadway onto opposite shoulders.

The female driver died while Fredrickson suffered moderate injuries in the collision.

Meanwhile, the officers are investigating the crash. It is unclear if the wet roads played a role. 

The police said they do not suspect drugs and/or alcohol as a factor in this crash.
