28-Year-Old Man Injured after Rollover Collision into Klamath River
YREKA, CA (December 12, 2018) – On Wednesday morning, a 28-year-old man identified as Michael Finn was involved in a solo-car accident on State Route 96.
Dispatchers received a call just before 5:30 AM, about a vehicle that was upside down in the Klamath River, just west of Route 263.
California Highway Patrol officials stated Finn was driving a red 2018 Ford Fusion which he crashed, causing his vehicle to flip upside down into the river. Rescuers later pulled the vehicle out of the river, after it had been submerged underwater for nearly five hours.
Multiple agencies had responded to the scene to find the injured victim. Finn was immediately taken to Fairchild Medical Clinic for further medical evaluation, and was later discharged. There has not been any update on his current medical condition at this time.
No further details have been disclosed, as the authorities continue to investigate.
