Driver Killed in HWY 67 Three-Vehicle Crash
Jefferson County, MO (September 9, 2024) – Michael Coleman, 40, of Barnhart, was injured in a deadly vehicle crash on Highway 67 Friday morning.
It was about 1:45 a.m. when the fatal collision happened on northbound Highway 67 at Interstate 55.
Investigators said Nelson was driving a northbound 2006 Chrysler Crossfire on the highway when his vehicle had struck the side of a northbound tractor-trailer.
As a result, Nelson’s car then ran off the highway and struck a concrete barrier.
Nelson was transported to a hospital where he died. Troopers said he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
Meanwhile, Nelson’s passenger, Michael Coleman, sustained moderate injuries. He was also not wearing a seat belt.
The truck driver was not hurt in the collision.
