Michael Cantwell Sturgis Dies after Crash on North Craycroft Road in Tucson
Tucson, AZ (January 21, 2023) – Thursday morning, 69-year-old Michael Cantwell Sturgis and an 18-year-old man sustained injuries in a crash on North Craycroft Road.
The Tucson Police were then notified that Sturgis died from his injuries at the hospital.
The fatal crash in Tucson happened around 8:30 a.m. on January 19.
TPD said Sturgis was driving a 2021 Ford Expedition traveling westbound on Grant Road.
When Sturgis attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Craycroft Road he was struck by a Lexus Sedan traveling eastbound.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Moreover, the DUI Enforcement said both drivers were not intoxicated.
Further investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
