Turlock, CA (August 20, 2022) On Friday morning, 51-year-old Michael Burks of Modesto, died in a pedestrian crash on North Golden State Boulevard.
Reports say that the fatal collision happened at around 12:16 a.m. near the intersection with West Barnhart Road.
The CHP says that 32-year-old Kaisee Budworth of Turlock was driving a silver Ford sedan when she struck Burks, who was wearing all black clothing. Additionally, reports say that visibility was low in the area due to limited lighting.
Keyes Fire Protection District and American Medical Response responded to the incident.
Burks suffered serious injuries due to the collision, AMR transported the patient to a local hospital, where Burks was pronounced dead.
Budworth did not suffer injuries, however, her vehicle sustained minor damages.
Authorities are investigating the incident and have not released additional details regarding the incident.
