28-Year-Old Palmdale Man Fatally Injured in Rollover Crash near Antelope Valley Freeway
LANCASTER, CA (October 17, 2018) – A man was killed Wednesday morning following a solo-vehicle crash on West Avenue L. The deceased victim was later identified as 28-year-old Michael Alarcon, a resident of Palmdale.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 9:45 AM near Antelope Valley Freeway. For unknown reasons, a 2004 Honda Accord veered to the left and hit the concrete raised curb with its left front tire.
The impact of the collision caused the vehicle to travel out of control and into the culvert, where it collided with a tree. Alarcon suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone who may have witness the collision is asked to contact the Lancaster CHP office by calling (661) 948-8541. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
