Bicyclist Hospitalized after Collision with Car on Intersection of Park avenue and G Street
MERCED, CA (March 13, 2018) – A man was struck and injured by a car on the intersection of Park Avenue and G Street on Tuesday evening.
Around 5 PM, a Merced man was riding northbound in the southbound lanes of G St, and crossed the intersection onto Park. A woman driving a black Chevrolet Impala did not see the wrong-way bicyclist and struck him while turning right from Park.
Merced Police officials and emergency personnel arrived at the scene of the accident. The man, said to be in his sixties, was moderately injured and transported to the Mercy Medical Center by ambulance. There is no update on his current condition or identity.
