Men Injured in Interstate 5 Accident
Fife, WA (May 14, 2021) – On Saturday, two were injured in Interstate 5 hit-and-run crash.
The incident happened just after 4 a.m. at 54th Avenue East near mile marker 137.
Apparently, a gray 2010 Lexus sedan struck a guardrail on the southbound lane of the freeway.
The Lexus stopped in the right lane, the driver and passenger got out of the vehicle and stood on the right shoulder of the freeway near the guardrail.
Subsequently, a southbound vehicle approached the disabled Lexus. Its driver drifted to the right to avoid a crash and struck both men standing on the right shoulder.
Then, the vehicle continued southbound on Interstate 5 and left both victims behind with serious injuries.
Meanwhile, officers said that the hit-and-run vehicle could be a dark-colored sedan. Also, it is likely that it has been damaged on the right side of the vehicle’s front bumper and on the right fender.
