Passenger Melody Anderson Fatally Injured in State Route 167 DUI Crash [Puyallup, WA]

Puyallup, WA (September 9, 2024) – 24-year-old Melody Anderson was killed in a State Route 167 DUI crash early Sunday morning.

It was about 2:15 a.m. when the fatal collision happened in the area of 30th Street near Puyallup River. 

Troopers said a man and a woman were southbound on the freeway. 

Suddenly, the man drove off the road and struck a pole, ejecting the passenger, Melody Anderson from the vehicle. She was killed at the crash scene.  Troopers said she was not wearing her seat belt.

Moreover, the 27-year-old driver was not hurt in the collision and was suspected of driving under the influence. He is now facing a vehicular homicide charge.
