Monte Alto Collision Kills Nissan Driver
Monte Alto, TX (February 25, 2023) – On Friday, Melissa De Leon, 48, of Monte Alto, sustained fatal injuries in an FM 2812 tractor-trailer crash.
The traffic accident happened at 12:06 a.m. west of Engelmen Gardens Road just west of Montel Alto.
According to the investigating officers, a 1999 truck tractor Frieghtliner towing a utility trailer driven by a male driver was backing into a private drive off of F.M. 2812.
At the same time, a 2020 Nissan Rogue driven by Melissa De Leon was eastbound on the same road and struck the Freightliner.
Unfortunately, De Leon died at the scene.
Officers are investigating the Monte Alto collision.
