Woman Killed in Arlington Pedestrian Crash
Arlington, TX (April 6, 2024) – 29-year-old Melisa Delgado Chavez of Arlington sustained fatal injuries following an Interstate 5 accident Friday.
It was about 5:07 a.m. when a 47-year-old driver from Portland, Oregon, was approaching Highway 531 on Interstate 5. The driver struck Delgado Chavez, who was on the road.
The authorities immediately responded to the scene and declared Delgado Chavez deceased.
The driver and one other passenger were not hurt in the collision.
Moreover, investigating officers do not suspect the driver of being impaired at that time.
Troopers are still investigating this fatal traffic accident.
