1 Dead in Amarillo Pedestrian Accident on SE 10th Avenue and Manhattan Street
AMARILLO, TX (March 2, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, Melanie Yazbek died in a pedestrian crash on SE 10th Avenue and Manhattan Street.
The incident happened at about 1:55 p.m. on SE 10th Street and Manhattan Street.
According to reports, the crash involved a person and a vehicle.
Amarillo police revealed that a white Ford Pickup drove northbound on Manhattan Street. Then, the driver stopped at SE 10th and turned eastbound onto SE 10th.
At the same time, 57-year-old Melanie Yazbek was walking across SE 10th in the crosswalk when the pickup hit her.
As a result, Melanie Yazbek succumbed to injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck suffered no injuries in the crash.
