Megan Amento of Kirkland Hurt in Fatal Crash on SR 97 [Chelan County, WA]

Chelan County, WA (August 26, 2024) On Friday evening, 24-year-old Megan Amento of Kirkland was hurt and 30-year-old Drake Remlinger of Snohomish was killed in a tragic crash on SR 97.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the deadly solo-car crash happened at about 7 p.m. on northbound State Route 97.

Reports say that Remlinger lost control of his 2017 Mercedes SUV fell down 30 feet down an embankment. Officials pronounced Remlinger dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, Amento a passenger on the Mercedes suffered injures and was transported to Central Washington Hospital.

Authorities are investigating the fatal crash and have not released additional information at this time.
