23-Year-Old Motorcyclist from Anaheim Fatally Injured in Crash on La Palma Avenue
ANAHEIM, CA (May 1, 2018) – A motorcyclist died on May 12th at the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, following a hit-and-run accident that happened on May 1st. The deceased victim was identified as 23-year-old Mazino Fray of Anaheim.
The fatal collision took place around 10:40 PM at the intersection of East Street and La Palma Avenue. According to Sgt Daron Wyatt with the Anaheim Police, a white sedan pulled out of an Arco gas station and turned across La Palma, into the path of Fray.
The unidentified driver fled from the scene after colliding with the motorbike. Fray was critically injured and taken to the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange for treatment and evaluation. He succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, May 12th, at 6:22 PM.
Police released a surveillance image of the suspect on May 4th, and have since identified the man. His identity has not yet been released to the public. The investigation is ongoing at this time, and no additional information is available.
