Injuries Reported in Jamestown Auto Accident on Highway 108 and Main Street
JAMESTOWN, CA (September 2, 2023) – Tuesday morning, Max Wulf of Tuolumne suffered injuries in an alarming 2-vehicle crash on Highway 108 and Main Street.
The incident happened at about 5:53 a.m. on Highway 108, east of Main Street.
According to reports, 45-year-old Tyson Wright of Oakdale drove his 2019 Ford F250 pickup in the eastbound direction at a speed of approximately 45 miles per hour.
Meanwhile, 26-year-old Wulf was driving a 2005 Toyota Tacoma, westbound on Highway 108, east of Main Street. As he slowed down to about 20 miles per hour within the two-way left turn lane, he tried to make a turn into the Kwik Serv parking lot. However, he didn’t notice the oncoming Ford pickup.
As a result, the Tacoma went into the eastbound lane, causing a head-on crash with the Ford.
The impact sent the Tacoma to stop in the westbound lane. Meanwhile, Wright’s Ford went on the eastbound shoulder of Highway 108.
Officers confirmed that both drivers were wearing seatbelts. However, the Tacoma driver suffered minor injuries.
Also, the authorities rerouted the eastbound traffic onto Main Street, while westbound traffic was directed to use the eastbound lane as authorities worked to clear the scene of the accident. Furthermore, the authorities ruled out alcohol and drugs as a factor in the crash.
