Corona Man Killed and Chino Man Hospitalized after Rollover Crash near Vail Lake Resort
TEMECULA, CA (July 26, 2018) – A man was killed late Thursday evening and another was hospitalized following a golf cart accident in the area of Vail Lake Resort campground.
As per reports, the crash happened at 10:15 PM in the 38000 block of Highway 79. 38-year-old Corona resident Mauricio Murillo and a 37-year-old Chino man were inside a customized golf cart when it overturned multiple times down a steep embankment.
Both occupants were ejected from the golf cart as they were not secured in a seatbelt. Murillo sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officials. The other man was rushed to Inland Valley Hospital after suffering major injuries. His identity and current medical condition were not immediately available.
Authorities continue to work on identifying possible contributing factors in the deadly accident. No further details have been released to the public at this time.
