Matthew Richerzhagen From Waitsburg Injured in Fatal Crash on State Route 12 [Walla Walla, WA]

Walla Walla, WA (March 10, 2022) – On Tuesday, 49-year-old Matthew Richerzhagen of Waitsburg sustained injuries in a vehicle collision on State Route 12 that killed 30-year-old Adrian Torres of Walla Walla.

The fatal incident took place at around 9:12 p.m. two miles east of Walla Walla City.

Investigators said Torres was westbound on the freeway approaching Smith Road when he crossed over the line and struck  Richerzhagen.

Immediately, the paramedics rushed Richerzhagen to St. Mary’s Medical Center in unknown condition.

On the other hand, Torres lost his life at the crash scene.

Meanwhile, the authorities said Torres was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash happened. Officers are still investigating this fatal incident.
