Matthew Olson Fatally Struck in Los Angeles Traffic Crash
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 26, 2019) — A Newport Beach man named Matthew Olson died in a traffic accident on 110 Freeway on Saturday, August 24.
California Highway Patrol Officer Stephan Brandt said that they received a report of the crash on the southbound 110 Freeway at Martin Luther King Boulevard at 2:45 a.m.
CHP Officer B. Hernandez said that 18-year-old Olson was first struck by a Toyota CHR driven by a Redondo Beach man. The driver stopped to render aid. A second, unknown vehicle also struck Olson while he was lying in the number 1 Express Lane and the vehicle continued.
