Matthew Hernandez and Jacqueline Reyes Arrested for DUI Crash on Cesar Chavez Street
COACHELLA, CA (July 4, 2019) – Police arrested two people after a DUI car crash on Cesar Chavez Street, early Thursday morning.
The authorities identified the suspects as Matthew Hernandez and Jacqueline Reyes..
According to reports, the collision occurred near the intersection of Westerfield Way at approximately 2:20 AM. In addition, 36-year-old Hernandez of Coachella crashed his white Toyota Corolla into a black Nissan Rogue. After that, he fled the scene. However, police caught him and took him into custody.
The paramedics sent one person to a local hospital for further treatment of unspecified injuries. However, police later identified the victim as the driver and sole occupant of the Nissan.
Police also arrested Hernandez on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and hit-and-run. In addition, police arrested his companion, Reyes, on suspicion of public intoxication.
