Injuries Reported in Redding Auto Accident on State Route 44 and Interstate 5
REDDING, CA (October 3, 2022) – Saturday night, Matthew Detrant and Colton Brown sustained injuries in a solo crash on State Route 44 and Interstate 5.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 7:36 p.m. Also, the crash occurred on State Route 44 to East Interstate 5, near the area of Hilltop Drive.
Reports revealed that a vehicle made an unsafe turn and crashed down a grass embankment.
Moreover, responders transported the vehicle driver, Matthew Detrant, and his 22-year-old passenger Colton Brown to Mercy Medical Center. Detrant sustained major injuries while Brown suffered minor injuries.
Furthermore, authorities do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
