1 Dead in Cottonwood Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 5 and Main Street
COTTONWOOD, CA (October 31, 2022) – Saturday night, a deadly crash on Interstate 5 and Main Street involved Matthew Brooks-Garcia.
The incident happened at about 11:02 p.m. on Interstate 5 North, north of Main Street. Reports revealed that 28-year-old Matthew Brooks-Garcia drove on Interstate 5.
Meanwhile, a man walked on the freeway, directly in the traffic lane.
Thus, Brooks-Garcia tried to avoid hitting the man by swerving. However, he ended up crashing with the pedestrian.
When a police officer arrived, they pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
