Injuries Reported in Rock Island Auto Accident on State Route 28 and Batterman Road
ROCK ISLAND, WA (May 17, 2022) – Monday morning, Matthew Brittingham suffered injuries in a crash on State Route 28 and Batterman Road.
The two-vehicle crash happened when 32-year-old Matthew T. Brittingham drove an eastbound 2012 Volkswagen Jetta. Then, he tried to make a left turn onto State Route 28. However, he crashed with a westbound 2011 Honda Pilot.
As a result, the two vehicles stopped and blocked the highway.
Responders took Brittingham to Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee with injuries. Meanwhile, two people in the Honda, a 36-year-old Quincy man, and a 38-year-old Quincy man, suffered no injuries.
Also, the state patrol cited Matthew Brittingham for failing to yield.
Furthermore, the incident shut down State Route 28 for about two hours as troopers investigated.
