Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Cave Creek Road in Phoenix
Phoenix, AZ (November 18, 2023) – On Saturday evening, 19-year-old Matthew Allen-Winchester died in a crash on Cave Creek Road.
Phoenix police responded to a crash involving a motorcycle near Cave Creek Road and Greenway Parkway around 5:30 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a teen with serious injuries. The identified teen, 19-year-old Matthew Allen-Winchester, was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The other involved vehicle remained at the scene following the crash. According to police, Allen-Winchester was driving south on Cave Creek Road when he collided with the other vehicle, which was traveling westbound across Cave Creek Road from one private drive to another.
The potential for charges against the other driver in connection with the crash is not clear at this time.
