Passenger Mary Sloan Dead in Napa Car Accident on Soscol Avenue at Silverado Trail
NAPA, CA (February 8, 2021) – Thursday afternoon, 85-year-old Mary Sloan died in a two-vehicle crash on Soscol Avenue at Silverado Trail.
The incident happened at 2:15 p.m. on Soscol Avenue at Silverado Trail.
Consequently, Mary Sloan succumbed to her injuries at the Queen of the Valley Medical Center shortly after 3:00 p.m
According to reports, Sloan rode as a passenger of a northbound 2015 Volkswagen Jetta.
Apparently, it crashed with a 2001 BMW x5 sport-utility vehicle that was making a left turn from southbound Soscol, police revealed.
As a result, responders took Mary Sloan and the 49-year-old Volkswagen driver, a Napa woman, to Queen of the Valley.
Initially, authorities thought that the injuries were only minor. However, Mary Sloan’s condition quickly worsened, and she died almost an hour after the incident.
Meanwhile, the 50-year-old male driver of the BMW refused medical treatment. The police noted that they found no evidence that the motorists were impaired.
An hour after the crash, the authorities shut down the Soscol-Silverado intersection for the investigation.
