Mary Crockett Killed on Highway 31 Tragic Collision [Smith County, TX]

Smith County, TX (January 11, 2024) On Tuesday evening, 55-year-old Mary Crockett died and 3 other people were hurt in a tragic collision on Highway 31.

According to Texas DPS, the fatal collision happened around 5:50 p.m. on State Highway 31 near CR 2212.

Reports say that a northbound Chrysler 300, driven by Mary L. Crockett collided with an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a Tyler Woman.

Authorities say that Crockett died due to the collision, while the Tyler woman and her 3 passengers, a 20-year-old woman, 12-year-old- boy and a 1-year-old girl, sustained injuries and were transported to CHRISTUS Mother Frances.

Officials are investigating the fatal collision and have not released further information about the incident.
