49-Year-Old Thousand Oaks Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Crash on Mountain View Avenue
OXNARD, CA (April 2, 2018) – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision on the intersection of South Rose Avenue and Mountain View Avenue, early Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 12:37 PM, when 49-year-old Marvin Weeks of Thousand Oaks was riding his 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Rose Ave. At the same time, a 2011 Ford F650 Flatbed truck turned left from northbound Rose to westbound Mountain View Ave, colliding into the motorcycle.
Mountain View intersects Rose midway between Fifth Street and Wooley Road. Weeks was ejected from his motorcycle, according to authorities.
Streets in the area of the incident were closed for hours as police investigated. Roadways were reopened shortly before 7:00 PM. Oxnard fire and emergency medical crews also arrived at the scene.
